After dropping out of Ohio State with a declared major in aerospace engineering, our founder, Meagan, chose a very arbitrary career path: film. After almost a decade of working on big-budget movies in Hollywood, Meagan decided to go back to college and finish her engineering degree in search of her life’s true purpose and passion.
While applying to schools, Meagan had the great (and likely life-altering) fortune of speaking with an aerospace engineer, Dina, whose story was similar to her own. Dina had recently completed her degree at Georgia Tech and then began working full-time as an engineer – she hated it. Working in a cubicle from 9-to-5, interacting with very few people, and being prohibited from speaking about her work was not at all what Meagan had envisioned.
That’s when it hit her: Meagan was about to set out on an enormous, life-changing journey, go into debt again, spend at least three more years in college, yet she had no idea what an aerospace engineer actually does. She’d simply romanticized the job in her mind and imagined it would be everything she felt was missing in her film career.
Countless people have dedicated years of their lives and accrued insurmountable debt pursuing a “dream job” that ends up being a complete nightmare. People are so discontented with the work they do that it negatively affects their mood, their lives, and the lives of those around them.
That’s where Perspectiv comes in. Our mission at Perspectiv is to help as many people as possible find their purpose and live meaningful, impactful, and happy lives by helping them
select the right career path.
Imagine if YOU reached your individual potential and answered your career calling.
Now imagine if all of society did that ... what an amazing world it would be!
We’re creating a world where anyone considering a particular path can form their own opinion based on the honest experiences of those who have walked before them.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Meagan is the sole founder of Perspectiv, Inc. She graduated from Full Sail University in 2011 with a B.S. in Film and worked in the Motion Picture Industry for more than ten years before entering the startup world. Through Perspectiv, Meagan hopes to help people find their calling; she believes that if more people were doing jobs they loved, the world would be a happier and kinder place.
In her spare time, you can find Meagan doing just about anything — except boxing herself in. She loves trying new things — everything from learning piano, hiking, rock (and ice!) climbing, mountaineering, playing with her silver lab, Dixie, hitting the gym, long range shooting, meditating, visiting the symphony or opera, indulging
in her favorite foods (coffee, bacon, steak, malbec!), reading a
good book, going on road trips, experimenting with
landscape photography, having a cozy Harry Potter
movie marathon, to – you guessed it –
learning about space.
Someday, she’s also going to learn to fly.
“Having a purpose is the difference between making a living and making a life.”

Giving Back in Gratitude
A major part of our team is all of the wonderful AstroExperts that allow us glimpses into their realities and worlds. We are so incredibly grateful that these professionals are willing to share their journeys, wisdom, and insight with us. We absolutely could not do what we do without them. We could not expand worlds, broaden horizons, and open minds in the same way. It is with their help that we are able to facilitate our mission to help as many people as possible find their purpose. Eventually, we hope to make our content free in libraries and schools across the country. Additionally, thanks to our AstroExperts, we plan to gift a membership to a person in need with each interviewee willing to share their story with us. Though Perspectiv is a for-profit business, we also intend to follow the buy-one-gift-one model so our subscribers may share in our effort to provide access, opportunity, and support where it’s most needed.
