OUR STORY
Like most entrepreneurial ideas, the concept for Perspectiv arose from a pain point I personally experienced and hope to solve for others who are struggling with the same problem. As I’m sure is the case for many people, choosing a career path after high school was essentially a shot in the dark. After dropping out of Ohio State with a declared major in aerospace engineering, I chose a very arbitrary path: film. After almost a decade of working on big-budget movies in Hollywood, I realized that this was not my life’s passion nor was I fulfilled by the work I was doing. I decided to go back to college and finish my engineering...

THE TEAM
(it's really just me so far)

Meagan is the sole founder of Perspectiv, Inc. She graduated from Full Sail University in 2011 with a BS in Film and worked in the Motion Picture Industry for more than ten years before entering the startup world. Through Perspectiv, Meagan hopes to help people find their calling; she believes that if more people were doing jobs they love, the world would be a happier and more kind place.
Although most of Meagan’s time is devoted to building and scaling Perspectiv, she is also an avid reader, aspiring ice climber and alpinist, former bassoonist turned pianist-in-training, and enthusiast of all things outdoors.

OUR MISSION
Perspectiv, Inc. was founded with the goal of helping as many people as possible find their calling in life. Our team conducts hundreds of interviews with people in all professions and from all walks of life. Our hope is that by telling the stories of those who’ve found their passion and their purpose, we will be able to help guide those still searching for their own.
Our mission is to empower individuals to choose a career based not on median salaries and job market projections, but on whether they’ll love going to work.
At Perspectiv we aren’t afraid to dream big! Our next step, while relentlessly growing our library of interviews, is to develop an app that will allow individuals to ask questions directly to professionals.

GIVING BACK
In order to facilitate our mission to help as many people as possible, the resources Perspectiv provides must be within reach for everyone. To ensure that underprivileged communities and individuals also have access to our services, we hope to make our content free in both public libraries and schools. Additionally, we plan to gift a membership to a person in need with each interviewee willing to share their story with us. Though Perspectiv is a for-profit business, we also intend to follow the buy-one-gift-one model so that our subscribers may share in our effort to provide access, opportunity, and support where it’s most needed.

THE FUTURE
Submitted questions will be filtered by our team and then forwarded to a community of volunteer professionals that we’ve recruited to participate. Eventually, we also want to host virtual Q & A’s on our website, organize career exploration fairs across the country, and create a free “Education Hotline” for teens and youth who are in less than ideal circumstances and need help with financial aid or scholarships, enrolling in either vocational training or college, or general career guidance.
